The Web Lender is back!

Deutsche Webdesign has just released the new beta versions of the U. S. english and Hebrew website of "The Web Lender".

Our initial mission consisted of re-designing the website. While consulting the client we realized that this high traffic website receives a lot of inquiries from it's integrated online loan application.

Changing to Open Office in a 20k users organisation? The true alternative is an integrated web-solution!

Let me ask you a question: are you REALLY in need of a complete office? For standard correspondence I would like to suggest another solution: taking it all web based.

The benefits:

  1. even the most incompetent users can't break anything (lowers support and helpdesk costs)
  2. look and feel of the environment is very similar to MS or Open Office
  3. and those who are really in need can have an MS-Office, or an Open Office (lowers costs for licencing)
  4. all correspondence of your organisationcan be automatically saved to your CRM which shortens support processes for incoming customer calls and inquiries because all data is centrally available from any workstation (can even be used in extranet environments)
  5. you won't miss out on any comfort because all which is needed by about 90% of the people who have office installed use it to type up letters and other correspondence and don't use the rest (neither on open office nor on MS Office)

Alternative to Microsoft Exchange Server and Outlook Web Access (OWA)

Users with two or more computers had, when wanting the same data on the computers, in the past been faced with the fact, that the only solution that they could implement, to fluidly synchronize the two data pools, was Microsoft’s Exchange Server, which is in most cases to expensive for the most of them to cope with.

The low cost alternative is Plaxo’s web-services, combined with changing your mailbox settings from the POP3 to the IMAP4 protocal (provided by most ASPs and freemail services; some of them charge a little fee).

You can thus use all of your computers simultaneously and synchronize your data between them as you would do it with an Exchange Server.

Please note, that this is not a real alternative if you are more than one user. You are then still in need of a groupware solution!
